It's always bigger in California !!!!

Ridge Geyserville 2008

Grape:       74% Zinfandel, 20% Carignan and 6% Petite Syrah

Where:       Sonoma, California

Booze:       14.5%

Foods:       Chilli, Lamb Tikka and BBQ Ribs

Story:       Organic and Sustainable

Big food needs a lot of wine and the Ridge Geyserville is a terrific example of that.

Even on the nose the alcohol squares up with some mulberry, morello cherry jam, a faint mocha smell as well as some robust clove and juniper.  On the palate all of the above ring true with some more dry spices and sandalwood.  The wine yields some solid tannin, good acidity to balance out the hefty alcohol.  While big this is a well balanced wine.

Even with 4 years under the belt this youngster could do with some more time to mature.  That said it did front with the chilli but is also worthy enough to enjoy it own.... and indeed it's always bigger than California.

Wine used to be my favorite drink because my dad owns an alcohol shop. I drink a few glasses almost everyday until I noticed that my teeth are getting yellowish. My Lubbock dentists says that too much wine could rot our teeth. From then on, I only drink occasionally.

A lot of wines have sugar in them so it's not really surprising that they can do serious damage to teeth. The key here is to drink moderately and always brush your teeth.

No doubt, California has got the best-tasting wines in the planet! Move over Australia and France! But for a country of wine-lovers, of course they have to equally take care of those shiny white teeth. That's where the fullerton invisalign of albeit the best dentists the world over have as well. Can any country, err, state, even come close?

I agree with Stew. California has such bountiful vineyards and they are lucky enough that they have top dentists as well to take care of them wine lovers' teeth.

I concur with Geoff. California sets the standard for wines and bloomington dentists alike. Way to go California!

I don't really drink wine. But I see the difference between a drinker and a wine drinker. Sugar or some other components will always destroy your teeth if too much.

I've talked with my dentists in santa barbara about drinking wine and teeth. He did told me something negative about drinking too much of it.
